The musical cinema becomes a recording document of a choreography from a single frontal point of view, where we study and understand a dance performance, devoid of multiperspective and expressive intention of the dance on camera itself. The classical film technique used in the musical cinema collects the choreography as it is represented in the scene without ellipsis and in a linear way, corresponding the execution time and the recording time. The result at the time of applying this technique thus becomes a documentary archive that serves for the conservation of all kinds of dances and choreographies for later consultation with anthropological and research purposes. The documentary file completes a useful and necessary information so that another person does it because of its ephemeral character would be lost, besides it allows its study in a scientific and objective way, by the own questions of the technology of the reproduction media audiovisual legends as: the alteration of playback by pausing, and rewinding.
